Street Party Charter

Streets Alive aims within 5 years to:

• Make street parties a widespread and regular feature of communities throughout the UK.
• Promote neighbourliness through street parties as a basis for improving quality of life in communities.

Streets Alive will:

• Work with and inspire communities to achieve this aim.
• Develop good practice with partner organisations, local authorities and government agencies to achieve this aim.
• Work with all sectors of the media and through the internet to develop a culture of street parties.
• Promote good practice about traffic, street design and travel behaviour as a follow up to the traffic-free street parties.
• Provide training, consultancy and project management in this field.
