Street Play Project
Helping residents to support for play in and around streets.
We are being funded by Bristol City Council Play Services to showcase ways that residents can support children's play with or without closing roads on the national Play Day on 3rd August in 3 streets in Bristol.
We are also working with a new group called Playing Out.
This also follows projects where we have supported street play in Bristol which showed that adults are surprisingly really positive about supporting play.
It will also build on our role in advising and training on London Play's 3 year Street Play Project.
We are also supporting the campaign to get residential streets closed on Sundays so children can play outside their homes without fear of being run over. This idea was put forward by Public Health Minister Anne Milton. To add your support you can sign this online petition. Read more.
